Salvage Pontoons – Vertical are totally enclosed, cylindrical flotation bags engineered for shallow water salvage, vessel draft reduction, and controlled lifting close to the surface. They are a proven solution for cable and pipeline operations, where stable buoyancy, controlled handling, and reliable rigging are essential.
These pontoons are rigged with a single top and bottom pick point, with an internal strap system that allows the load to be lifted from the top of the bag while maintaining stability. The vertical orientation provides a compact footprint and predictable lift characteristics, making it ideal when operating around structures, near the surface, or in confined work areas.
Constructed from urethane-coated, high-strength nylon with RF-welded seams, the pontoon offers superior abrasion resistance, UV stability and resistance to petro-chemicals. A replaceable heavy-duty nylon webbing lift harness is integrated into the body to bear the load and provide a safe working ratio of 6:1. Each unit is supplied complete with shackles, valves and all necessary hardware for immediate deployment, and pressure relief valves protect against over-pressurisation during ascent.
All units are tested prior to shipping, with custom sizes available. The range is compliant with IMCA D-016-AIRBAGS, ABS, and U.S. Department of Defense Standards.
