    The AMCOM™ II 2825R-01 Two-Diver Rack Mount Communicator features separate channels and volume controls for each diver and the tender so that uplink and downlink paths can be customized for varying equipment configurations and individual comfort levels.

    The newest version of the AMCOM™ II Rack Mount Communicator has the same versatile user-interface and great sound quality as its predecessor with several new digital enhancements: (1) High-Audio Fidelity; (2) Extended Battery Operation; (3) Flexible Gain Settings; (4) Ultra-Low Electromagnetic Interference (EMI); and (5) Audio In/Out Connections.  The Overview tab outlines the many outstanding features that continue to make this model the most popular and powerful communicator on the market today.

    • Separate channels and volume controls for each diver and tender to accommodate individual earphone and microphone adjustments, equipment variations and individual comfort levels.
    • Divers’ umbilicals can be set up on 4-wire mode (full duplex) or 2-wire mode (push-to-talk) or any combination of the two modes for each diver.
    • Communicator comes standard with rear mounted MS connector, providing connections to diver and tender inputs and outputs.
    • Ability to use both dynamic and pre-amplified diver microphones with a unique circuit that detects microphone type and automatically adjusts volume levels.
    • Weatherproof push-to-talk microphone for better voice intelligibility topside.  For optimum clarity, see Tech Note (below) for other recommended equipment.
    • Battery Condition Indicator – Visual LED indicator of battery condition.
    • Internal charging system with battery back-up allows for simultaneous charging and operation of the unit while protecting the rechargeable battery from being overcharged.  Back-up battery automatically supplies power to the audio amplifier when AC power is disconnected to allow for continued operation up to 45 hours.
